How to get to Morro de São Paulo
The island has no roads or cars. From Salvador there are two main routes: by land and boat, or straight across the sea. Your flight time decides.

Your flight time decides
The land and boat transfer and the catamaran have set departure times. If you land early in Salvador you can usually reach Morro the same day. Our transfer serves flights landing by 14:00, so check that time before buying your ticket.
If your flight is delayed or arrives late, you may need to spend a night in Salvador. That's why the first thing we ask is when your flight lands.
The catamaran depends on the sea. On rough days, the land and boat route is usually the most stable, because only the last part is by boat.
There's also a small plane to the island, more expensive and with few flights.
What to keep in mind
TUPA: the fee of R$ 70 per person is charged on arrival at the island and isn't included in the transfer price.
Luggage: everything in Morro is on foot. Porters at the pier are paid separately.
With children: on the land and boat transfer, children up to 4 ride free and ages 5 to 9 pay half. Tell us their ages when booking.
A local's tip
In Morro everything is on foot, by cart or by tractor. Wear comfortable shoes and avoid big rolling suitcases.
